                                - Heritage Emergency National Task Force
                                    
                                    FEMA and the Smithsonian Institution co-sponsor the Heritage Emergency National Task Force (HENTF), a partnership of more than 50 national service organizations and federal agencies created to protect cultural heritage from the damaging effects of natural disasters and other emergencies.                                         The National Heritage Responders (NHR)--formerly the American Institute for Conservation - Collections Emergency Response Team (AIC-CERT)--responds 
                                        to the needs of cultural institutions during emergencies and disasters through coordinated efforts with first responders, state agencies, vendors and the public. 
                                        Volunteers can provide advice and referrals by phone at the number above. Requests for onsite assistance will be forwarded by the volunteer to the NHR Coordinator 
                                        and Emergency Programs Coordinator for response. Less urgent questions can also be answered by emailing  info@conservation-us.org.

                                        CCAHA offers emergency assistance for institutions and individuals with damaged paper-based collections by offering conservation treatment, technical information, 
                                        training programs, and consultation services including on-site assistance at the time of an emergency and resources for writing emergency preparedness and response plans. 
                                        If you need assistance during regular business hours, please call the offices at 215-545-0613.                                         NEDCC staff members are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide telephone advice to institutions and individuals handling collection-related disasters. 
                                        Information provided includes advice on drying wet collections and dealing with damage from fire, pests, and mold. This service does not normally include on-site assistance. 
                                        The NEDCC also has a list of resources related to emergency management, preservation planning, and collections management.                                     The ADPH has information about avoiding indoor air problems during flood clean-up, mold facts, and a list of contractors.

                                    The agency’s mission is to coordinate resources during disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. For disaster assistance, the information includes “Disaster Declaration Criteria” and “Assistance to Individual and Households” among other items.
