The Week of November 15-20, 2004
Work continued on the raised flooring on the third floor. Workers began wallpapering on the first floor. Final paint touch-ups continued on the first floor. Marble tile work continued in the lobby. The hanging of spiral duct continued on the third floor. Elastomeric coating continued on the south side exterior of the building. Electrical rough-in for irrigation and lighting at the Adams Avenue plaza continued.
The Week of November 8-13, 2004In preparation for moving into the new wing, staff moved out of the old Public Services area and painters began painting it. The second-floor room will revert to records storage.
Also, workers installed spiral duct on the third floor of the new wing. Raised flooring work continued on the third floor. The center steps were poured for the Adams Street entrance. Accoustical panel work was started on the mezzanine. Electrical trim-out work continued throughout the new wing. The sanitary sewer on Bainbridge Street was tested and passed. Workers continued to lay marble tile in the lobby. Touch-up paint work continued on most floors. Brendle Sprinkler tested sprinkler pipes. An above ceiling inspection was performed by the State Building Commission on Monday, November 8, 2004.
The Week of November 1-5, 2004
Workers poured the east end steps at the south plaza (Adams Avenue) entrance. The spiral duct for the 3rd floor was received. Sheet rock hanging continued on the 3rd floor. Workers disconnected the temporary water line on the south side of the building and hooked up the permanent water line. Final coats of paint were applied in the reference room and mezzanine. Elastomeric coating on the exterior of building was held up due to two days of rain. Grouting windows at stair landings continued. The elevator motor burned out and the elevator was out of commission for the whole week.
