Volunteer Opportunities at the Archives

WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR US:

We need enthusiastic volunteers who can bring Alabama history alive for visitors and ensure its preservation for future generations.

We have opportunities for those who enjoy meeting the public as well as those who prefer to work behind the scenes.

Volunteers do a variety of jobs:

  • Receptionists

  • Hands-on Gallery assistants

  • Docents (Museum tour guides)

  • Reference Room workers

  • Clerical and research aides

  • Archival processors

  • Gift cart workers
