Ocllo S. Malone
Elected to the Board of Trustees of the Alabama Department of Archives and History in 2004, Ocllo Smith Malone serves as a representative for District 6. Mrs. Malone has been an active supporter of the Archives for many years. Having served on the Alabama Archives and History Foundation Board since 2001, Mrs. Malone currently serves as its President. Mrs. Malone currently serves as an officer of her family's timber company, Tensaw Land and Timber Company. In addition, Mrs. Malone is an executive member of the Board of the Belle Mer Condo Association. As an entrepreneur, Mrs. Malone owned and operated Artisan's Needlework Shop in Birmingham for several years in the mid 1970's. Active in numerous civic organizations, Mrs. Malone served on the Board of Trustees for the Girls Incorporated of Central Alabama Trust and the UAB School of Nursing. Mrs. Malone is a member of The Women's Committee of 100 for Birmingham. In addition, Mrs. Malone has served as a member of the Service Guild, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and several other social organizations. A native of Mobile, Mrs. Malone has resided in Birmingham for over forty years. Mrs. Malone attended the University of Alabama. She is married to Wallace D. Malone, Jr., and they have six children and twelve grandchildren. --table over-- --> |
