Vice President, Customer Services
Alabama Power Company


As vice president of customer services, Davis is responsible for integrating all facets of the customer experience, including the use of technologies and research, to enhance the company’s relationship with its residential, business and industrial customers across the state.


Previously, Davis served as senior vice president and deputy general counsel for Southern Company Services. She was responsible for generation energy policy, compliance and legal strategies for Southern Company’s operations organization, which included generation, transmission, engineering and construction services, system planning, research and environmental affairs, and the company’s competitive generation business units. In addition, Davis was responsible for Southern Nuclear’s legal, compliance and employee concerns organizations.


Davis has also served as vice president of charitable giving for Alabama Power Company, president of the Alabama Power Foundation and executive director of the Alabama Business Charitable Trust. Her broader external affairs experience at Alabama Power and Southern Company includes leadership roles in governmental relations, environmental affairs and economic and community development departments. Davis has also held executive leadership positions in information technology and real estate.


Earlier in her career, Davis served as an attorney in Southern Company’s Washington, D.C. office, primarily focused on industry-wide environmental litigation and energy policy. She also served as the compliance and support manager at Alabama Power’s Plant Miller in West Jefferson, Alabama, during the design, construction and operation of major environmental technologies.


Davis received a bachelor’s degree in commerce and business administration from the University of Alabama and a juris doctor degree from the University of Alabama School of Law. She is also a graduate of Samford University’s MBA program. She completed a yearlong fellowship in the International Women’s Forum executive development program as part of a global partnership with Harvard Business School and INSEAD, as well as an executive education program in corporate finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.


Davis is a native of Birmingham and is active in her community. She currently serves on the boards of the Alabama Department of Archives & History, Saint Vincent’s Health System, YWCA, Samford University’s Board of Overseers, McWane Science Center, Children's Aid Society of Alabama, and Lean On: Alabama. She is also serving as chair of the Go Red campaign in Alabama on behalf of the American Heart Association and is a volunteer catechist for youth ministry at her church.
