Unlocking the Past:
Your Key to Successful Research at the Alabama Archives
Research Workshop February 23
Do you want to know how to trace your family history? Are you trying to research your local community? Are you overwhelmed by your research needs and don’t know where to start? If so, the Alabama Department of Archives and History and the Friends of the Archives are here to help you. Join us on Saturday, February 23, from 9:00 to 4:00 for Unlocking the Past: Your Key to Successful Research at the Alabama Archives. This one-day seminar will help researchers of all levels of experience to discover the great variety of records and resources that the ADAH has to offer. Archives staff will offer a rare behind-the-scenes tour of records storage areas at the conclusion of the workshop and will offer tips on how researchers can make the best use of Archives’ resources.
The $25 registration fee covers the cost of materials, refreshments, and a box lunch. Members of the Friends of the Archives can register at a discounted rate of $20. This workshop is sponsored by the Friends of the Archives, a non-profit support group of the Alabama Department of Archives and History.
