Few things can add as much life to historical and genealogical research as a well-placed photograph. Join us Saturday morning, April 12, at 10:00 to learn about the photograph collections of the Alabama Department of Archives and History (ADAH). Archivist Meredith McLemore will discuss the types of images available and offer tips for locating them using the ADAH catalog and finding aids. Particular emphasis will be placed on searching the extensive image collection offered online. This is the fourth program in a new workshop series, Tips, Tools, and Treasures, designed to introduce the public to the vast array of research materials available at the ADAH, and to familiarize them with department services. Archives staff will present these programs the second Saturday of each month in 2008 from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. The programs are free and do not require pre-registration.
