Alabama State Electronic Records Project (ASERP)

Recently, the National Historical Publications and Records Commission awarded the Alabama Department of Archives and History funds to launch an initiative to increase institutional capacity for managing, preserving, and providing access to permanent electronic records.

 

This collaborative three-year project with the governor’s office will develop process workflow which will then be utilized to create a mature model for collaboration between the ADAH and other Alabama state agencies on the management and preservation of electronic records. Our efforts will create a model that similarly staffed state archives and others throughout the archival community can implement to find new ways to manage the flow of archival records from agency to archives.
